Moulding equipment for micro PIM - Uwe Haupt, Arburg GmbH, Germany

In order to have the optimum equipment for Micro PIM, the normal injection molding equipment needs to be adapted. These adaptations start with the mould,  continue with the moulding machine and end with the automation. Mould adaptations include venting or vacuum, but also temperature controls. Machine adaptation, besides the right sizing of screw and barrel, include high speed controller, special movements. Demoulding certainly needs adapted take-out devices. The features will be explained in detail and application examples will be show.
