Status of PIM Business and R&D in Taiwan

The first PIM company in Taiwan was established in 1988. For the past twenty years, the industry has been enjoying a healthy growth with a compounded growth rate in double digits. The current market has been concentrated in the cellular phone and notebook computer sectors. Driven by the short delivery time and the large quantity, several in-house PIM lines are established in the past two years. The status and the challenges of the PIM industry in Taiwan will be summarized. The progress of the PIM R&D work in Taiwan will also be reported.
