Biopsy forceps for minimally invasive surgery by metal injection moulding

Biopsy forceps of complex geometry and smaller size offer themselves as metal injection moulded products. Besides, the miniaturization of minimally invasive surgery devices calls for ever smaller parts with better performance at lower cost. This is where metal injection moulding can put forward its strengths. In this work, the technical barriers and solutions in production of biopsy forceps are discussed.
